Alexander Layer – Diphda

After the publishing of the song Flowers, inspired by the positive vibrations of the spring, the Italian guitarist Alexander Layer composed the new mystical melody – Diphta.

Alexander is a student at the Conservatory of Music “San Pietro a Majella” in Naples and “Lizard Academy” in Rome. His music reflects his love for Nature, while the melodies he creates are full of emotions and passion.

I love to play and it is an honor to be able to reach people .. I believe that music, being an abstract thing, has the strength to make people feel good and embrace them where no one can go … said Alexander.

Alessandro De Fusco aka Alexander Layer is also a guitar teacher at the „Spazio Musica“. Besides classical music, his influences are heavy metal and progressive music. He released two albums: Fenrir, March 23, 2019 – produced by Momos Production and Huginn Muninn, digital album, November 9, 2019  via Elevate Records label. His guitar narrates the Viking mythology stories and the Norse legends.

Marco Sfogli and David Folchitto were the special guests on the second album. Alexander also performed with Reb Beach (Whitesnake), Michele Luppi (Whitesnake), and Mario Guarini.

Diphda is the brightest star in the constellation of Cetus. It lies at an approximate distance of 96.3 light years from Earth. Based on parallax measurements, it lies at an estimated distance of 96.3 light-years (29.5 parsecs) from the Sun. Although designated ‘beta’, it is actually brighter than the ‘alpha’ star in the constellation. This orange star is easy to identify due to its location in an otherwise dark section of the celestial sphere. Diphda is one of the 58 stars that have a special status in the field of celestial navigation. Navigational stars are some of the brightest and most identifiable stars in the sky.
