Italian guitarist and a composer, Alexander Layer and his band released the new live video for the song Grimnismàl, from the album “Huginn Muninn”.
Your new video was recorded during the concert in Rome, at “Mammut Live Club”. What was it all about, connected to the show?
Hi Katarina, yes! The new video was shot during our performance of “RoMetal” a historical Roman review of metal.
The good energy in the band, is one of the first things that one can notice. It seems like there’s a lot of fun when playing with these guys. What was your experience at the gig, and what was the audience response?
For me and my friends it is just one more moment to our days together, because before being colleagues we are very friends, living our performance on stage in a very natural way. Fun and passion are the first things that, combined with music, let everything flow naturally and therefore involve the audience more.
Did you miss playing live with the band, during the previous two years, when the world stopped? What did your rehearsals look like during that period?
For us, after the pandemic, it was the second live and we managed to do very few rehearsals, but the fact of not being able to perform together I missed a lot, because the solo evenings are beautiful and there is always a beautiful audience, but playing the same songs with the complete project is always a new emotion.
Are you working on some new music, as well? Do you have plans to tour with a band?
This summer, I think until autumn, I am working in the studio on the new album and all the news that will embrace the project, so live and tour for the moment, we will do little.
