Progressive hard n’ heavy band Cave from Germany, released their new single, Promised Land, via Metalapolis Records. It’s the title track of the upcoming album … Into The Promised Land. The album is described as heavy but melodic, with a touch of prog influences.
In April 2026, Cave will also hit the road as special guests of the Masterplan on their “Metalmorphosis Tour 2026”:

Cave from Ludwigsburg, Germany, is a rock band consisting of experienced and renowned musicians. Chris Lorey, known from his work with the Progressive Metal bands Ivanhoe and Scenes, had the vision of an old school Hard ’n Heavy band with progressive elements and a modern, up to date production. Chris had some sprawling sessions with various musician friends and at some point, Roberto Palacios (Chinchilla, My Darkest Hate, Goblins Blade) joined forces. According to the band members, drummer Steffen Theurer, an old bandmate from Roberto could be convinced to record the drums in the studio. Since Roberto knows Ronny Munroe (ex-Trans-Siberia Orchestra, ex-Metal Church, ex-Vicious Rumors, ex-Lillian Axe) from some shows of his band with Metal Church, they decided to ask him to join the band: “After listening to the demos Ronny immediately decided to join the band. Since Steffen Theurer (ex-Symphorce) is very busy CAVE needed a permanent drummer, and this is where former Chinchilla drummer Chris Schwinn stepped on board.”
The band started the recordings of “Out Of The Cave” back in late 2022 in Chris’ own basement studio. The album was mixed and mastered by Marc Ayerle (End Of Green, Stormwitch, Krayenzeit).
The upcoming alnum … Into The Promised Land, will be released in April 2026, via Metalapolis Records. CAVE stands for melodic Hard Rock with slightly progressive influences and satisfies all fans from Queensryche, to Van Halen and from Savatage to Masterplan.
