Finnish gothic rock band The 69 Eyes, released a new song “I Survive”, featuring legendary guitarist Steve Stevens, best known as Billy Idol’s guitarist and songwriting collaborator. The track is a preview of the upcoming EP “I Survive”, which will be available on the 5th of June, via BLKIIBLK.
After two years of intense touring throughout Finland and Europe, The 69 Eyes are starting a new chapter with new music and a new international label relationship. The band have signed to BLKIIBLK, the heavy metal imprint of Frontiers Label Group. The song “I Survive” was written by The 69 Eyes, Steve Stevens, and Emmy-winning songwriter Jacob Bunton. Barry Pointer took care of the mixing in the meantime. Pointer has previously collaborated with Mötley Crüe and worked on Ozzy Osbourne’s most recent tracks, including the Grammy-nominated “Crack Cocaine”.
The song features the signature Hollywood flavor, which blends harmoniously with the band’s sound.
The band commented: “Our new single, “I Survive”, written by guitar legend Steve Stevens and Jyrki 69 is The 69 Eyes at our best: simply rocking! The track is mixed by Barry Pointer (Ozzy Osbourne, Mötley Crüe etc) to bring the extra Hollywood magic in”.
The 69 Eyes on tour:
Along with festival appearances, The 69 Eyes will be extensively touring Europe as part of the “Cowpunks & Glampires Tour 2026” with D-A-D. They will visit Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Italy, Switzerland, and Germany in January, with a specific show in Belgrade, Serbia, on the 25th of April.
The EP will be distributed internationally through the heavy-focused BLKIIBLK imprint of Frontiers Label Group. The band continues collaborating with Vallila Music House, Finland. The 69 Eyes have released thirteen albums, reaching gold and platinum and a mainstream status in Finland.
